"The English Garden at Chicago Botanical Gardens" by Jacqueline France
Jacqueline received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and after graduation taught art to children as an occupational therapist for four years. Although she's been an artist her whole life, Jacque made her public painting debut in March 2005 with a successful show at the La Grange Art League Gallery. She regularly conducts painting demonstrations, critiques and workshops for art associations in the Chicago area and is a workshop instructor at the popular Peninsula School Of Art in Wisconsin. The French impressionists have been the primary influence in her work and Jacque teams up with her husband annually to paint and attend European workshops where she has expanded her repertoire. They frequently attend workshops at the Scottsdale Artists School in Arizona and make painting trips around the US and Canada. Her work hangs in private and corporate collections throughout the country.
This painting is called "The English Garden at Chicago Botanical Gardens." It is an 18x24 original oil painting completed on location, custom framed.

"Negocio Girl"
"This photo was taken at a street market in Nicaragua.  The girl is the daughter of a woman who re-sells cosmetics and toiletries in the market.  She was the only girl I saw that was dressed up. I assumed the mother dressed her up to encourage tourists and shoppers to take photos for the cost of a negotiated donation.  It worked. A photographer always seeks the best light for every photo. So I asked the girl to sit in this spot, because of the light and without regard to the word meaning 'business' on the wall beside her.  This is one of my favorite photos.  With children, I typically try to capture 'the adult within'.  Her flirtatious, yet jaded attitude catches the eye.  But the slightly askew 'mona lisa' smile and her eyes in juxtaposition with the 'title' on the wall creates an integrated concept and a special photo. I don't recall her name; for me she will always be 'Negocio Girl'. "  - Warren Guthrie
