Jose Ortiz has been identified as a poet in his technique. As a young artist he created a body of work for world acclaimed Nicaraguan poet Pablo Antonio Cuadra. The influence developed into a signature style in Jose’s ceramic sculpture and development of a ceramic wall art. He has presented in exhibitions all around the world as a well-known and revolutionary Nica artist. His mystical painting, "Ometepe Island," is 2x3 feet, oil on canvas.
